Younger Division Gala: Lipscomb university
July 17, 2016

Imagine the best of broadway: Annie, Oliver, Mary Poppins. Incredible, pint-sized performers singing, dancing, playing, and acting in an original musical, written by veteran and award-winning composers and songwriters Robin and Bill Wolaver. You will be amazed at the talent and professionalism of these gifted, young performers.

Live performances are the centerpiece of the Fine Arts Summer Academy. Each year we work hard to organize outstanding stage experiences for our students. These performances take place in some of Nashville’s most beloved and famous venues. Here’s a look at the places you’ll be performing during FASA 2016!

Final Gala: The Grand Ole Opry House

The Gala at the Grand Ole Opry House is our annual grand finale - a universal performance that includes orchestra, choir, ensembles, and soloists in a thematic show specifically written to showcase the best talents at FASA. Performing on the same circle as legends like Hank Williams and Patsy Cline is an unforgettable experience!

Country Music Hall of Fame: Ford Theater

A select group of students will be performing an original show at the Country Music Hall of Fame, a show themed around the long lost art of authentic Country-Western music. The Ford Theater is one of the most intimate venues at the Country Music Hall of Fame and is an ideal setting for FASA 2016.

More to be announced!

Final Gala: Grand Ole Opry House
Thursday, July 21

The Grand Ole Opry began as a simple radio broadcast in 1925 and today, it is a live entertainment phenomenon. It’s been called the “home of American music” and “country’s most famous stage.” Performers from Hank Williams, to Carrie Underwood, to Elvis Presley, to Norah Jones, to the Annie Moses Band have performed on this legendary stage.

Who will be performing: The exhilarating FASA orchestra and chorus will be bringing down the house under the baton of Maestro Jung-Ho Pak, the Annie Moses Band and soon-to-be announced chart-topping guest artists!
